"Hello Pluto, Good-bye Kitty"
2012
Asphaltum on asphalt
Big parking lot size
With the help of Richard Robinson and The Cardboard Collective, we created this parking lot painting of Pluto the cat based on Edgar Allen Poe's short story, "The Black Cat." On the ground, viewers can see hundreds of one-eyed, black cats like Pluto. From the air, one can see Pluto himself. The site is situated at the corner of Rt 29 and Westfield Road in Charlottesville, Virginia.

Punch in "Westfield Rd and Seminole Trail, Charlottesville, VA" on Google from anywhere across the world and you can see it on their satellite maps.
